Answer the detailed information of air crashes quickly.

Predict that the plane crashed with no one surviving.

Some of them can’t remember the name of the airlines.

Discussion

 

If you are the passenger on MH370, at the last moment , what would you think you’d like to change in your life?

Say some regrets and hopes.

Students didn’t get my question clear. Some of them were talking about what to do while the plane crashed.

这部分学生比较感兴趣,讨论比较激烈。但是没有及时把相关观点有条理地记下来,为后面的写作所用。

改进:问题的提出应该更具体,清晰,不易产生歧义。

Reading in detail

 

 

1. Through watching the news and reading the first part of the passage, get some background information of the speech.

2. Guide students to figure out the structure of the passage

3. Guide students to figure out the content of the passage by analyzing what the author regretted having done and would like to change

4. Pay attention to some new words may be useful for writing.

Fully understand the passage

Time given was not enough for them to figure out the content of the passage without previewing.

Analyze, Inference and conclude

这部分,我打算给他们5分钟看课文。但是到了五分钟,大部分同学都没有看结束。可能文章过长了点,略高估了他们的阅读能力。

改进:问题设计可以更加具体。补充一些问题可以让学生们更加充分的理解文章。

Writing

 

1. Guide students to write a passage as required, using a structure similar to the passage

2. Remind students of using some words presented

Write a passage

Students didn’t write down their opinions clearly while discussing. So they spent a lot of time thinking about the contents while it was time to write the composition.

Inference and conclude

因为讨论时候的铺垫和准备工作做得不好,所以很多同学来不及写。

改进:在讨论时更清楚地提示同学们有条理地记下讨论内容,用在写作中;时间进行相应调整。

Homework

 

1. Accumulate and review the new words and phrases in your notebook.
